FAQs

  • Your dog will be picked up between 9am-11am. The day prior to your scheduled service, I will send an estimated time frame. An actual ETA will be sent when I am on my way. All dogs are transported in Ruffland Kennels with a water bucket, pad, and personal fan.

Between 11am-3pm we will be training. We will go to public places to work on obedience and socialization. Places include public parks, trails, neighborhood walks, and pet-friendly stores. On poor weather days, we have an indoor space for training exercises and a self-paced treadmill for aerobic exercise.

Your dog will be dropped of between 3pm-5pm. I will send a text for an ETA when I am headed to you! Report cards will be sent by the end of the day, detailing what your dog did and grades reflecting how well they did.

  • No, you do not! If you have a lockbox, garage code, or key copy, just let me know ahead of time. If you prefer to be there upon the first pick up, we can arrange that to fit your schedule. I have a lockbox for al client keys so they are in a safe spot. When I send an estimated time frame the day prior, I will ask if pick up instructions are the same.

  • All you need to send with your dog is a leash and training collar. I prefer dogs to have a flat collar/martingale and safety coupler, but I have extras in my car if needed. I also have peppermint bug spray if we plan on doing hiking trails that day.

If your dog is on a specific diet, please send them with their food to use as treats. If your dog has sensitivities/allergies, please make note of it when you register. Depending on what the allergy is, I may ask you to send your dog with their own food.

If your dog has a medical condition requiring medical administration while they are in my care, please send the medication with them. I am trained to administer injections, inhalers, topical, and oral medications.

  • I service the western New Hampshire population, including Temple, Wilton, Milford, Amherst, Bedford, Nashua, and Merrimack. If you are located elsewhere, talk to me about potential pick up areas! If I don’t service your town, I can meet you somewhere for pick up/drop off.

  • I am a balanced trainer, which means I use a combination of positive reinforcement (treats, toys, praise, etc.) and correction (training collars like pinch/prong and e-collars). Every dog is different in their needs and learning styles, similar to kids. Therefore, I do not have a “one-fits-all” training plan.
